Every Friday night, the Atlan family's Shabbat turns into a Sephardi “Top Chef”: ever since the newly converted daughter-in-law dared to make vegan meatballs, the whole family tears itself apart to prove who makes the best couscous.
Couscous Boulettes — Shabbat Wars is a sparkling, satirical family comedy that dives into the delicious chaos of a large Sephardi Jewish family, the Atlans, based in Paris. In their home, Shabbat no longer rhymes with serenity… but with culinary competition. Ever since Rebecca, the newly converted daughter-in-law, dared to prepare vegan meatballs, the whole clan has launched into a holy war: who will make the best couscous? Every meal becomes a battle of pots, a war of tastes and egos, where the laughter drowns out the shouting.
